Last year my girlfriend’s office Christmas party was held at a co-worker’s house. It was a catered event, and the only requirement of attendees was to wear a onesie. So I went to amazon.com, searched for “adult onesie”, and sat back in utter disbelief at the multitude of options.
I briefly considered this one… 🤣
…but I (correctly) figured that I’d end up buried under a tree in the back yard if I did. So I bought a lemur onesie instead.
Now if you know my sense of humor, you won’t be surprised to find that I thought this was all completely hilarious and awesome. And, of course, after the party—which was a bunch of fun BTW—I stashed the onesie in my closet for future use.
I didn’t know when I’d use it again… But I definitely knew I would use it again.
Fast forward to this Halloween. I had decided to wear it at the gym during the classes and private training that I was scheduled to cover that day, but I was in a rush that morning and forgot to grab it from the closet!
Needless to say, I was a bit disappointed. But I figured I’d salvage at least a little humor from the situation by talking about my foiled plan to everyone who I trained that day.
Well it turned out that one member who heard the story has a photography side business. He suggested that I bring the onesie to the gym the following week, he’d bring his camera, and we’d do a fun(ny) photo shoot.
Of course I was in! But I also have to say that I did not expect things to turn out the way they did.
The shoot ended up being a ton of fun, for sure. (It took a lot of effort for anyone to keep a straight face.) But I honestly just expected that we were going to take some pictures that I could post to the “social medias”, and that would be that.
What I got instead is the totally awesome & amazing video below…
If you had as much fun watching that as we did making it, make sure to check out NickNikPhotography on FaceBook.
And if you think you might want to learn how to do some of the things that I did on the Olympic rings (and more), register for this Saturday’s (November 16) StrongFirst Bodyweight Course.
We’re doing a last-minute flash sale too, so use LASTMINSAVE when you register to save 20%. (The code can only be used 3 times though, so act fast.) If you do, I might even teach for a bit as “the lemur”… 😉
