About the Swing-a-thon
The TNT Performance Swing-a-thon is an annual event, now in its fourth year, similar to a charity fun run/walk event. Participants raise money and awareness for a local charity and then — instead of walking/running — swing a kettlebell for an hour. Men typically swing a 24-kg kettlebell; women, a 16-kg kettlebell (although the weights are completely scalable).
In the past three years we’ve raised over $12,000 in support of the Froedtert Hospital Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin, and CJ Lomas Foundation. This year’s proceeds are being donated to Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, the world’s largest organization dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy. Through a dedicated volunteer network, Junior Achievement provides in-school and after-school programs for students which focus on three key content areas: entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and work readiness.
